For many decades I was a died-in-the-wool ‘horse and musket’ wargamer, and wouldn’t touch any period with khaki uniforms. But a few years ago I was finally attracted to the 20th century, and now have a French desert army, and also a growing Dutch force inspired on by my father’s own service in the Dutch army during WW2.
