‘Wargaming Compendium’ arrives …

Wargaming Compendium

Woo-hoo!  Look what arrived today!  I now know what I’m going to be doing for the next few days.

And to prove my dedication to my blog visitors, please note I have taken the above photograph before I have actually even opened the book for even the briefest of look-sees!

  1. Come now, Roly, do you really expect us to believe that you didn’t even “accidentally” get a wee tiny peek inside?

    1. It was true, I tell you! But I have certainly explored it now. it is the sort of book that you don’t read all in one sitting, but instead browse through and read in unrelated pieces. I’m enjoying it very much.

  2. Roly, now that you have had a chance to read through the book, what is your verdict? Would you recommend purchasing it?

    1. It’s a good book, though aimed more at the beginner. So I didn’t learn much from it. But it still is inspirational in its photographs, and contains some good info. I’d recommend it overall. I think it’ll become a wargaming classic like the Featherstone and Grant books, so it’s worth keeping for that aspect alone.

I hope I've given you something to think about - please do leave a comment with your thoughts or reactions.
