Kapa O Pango, aue hi! All Blacks – Rugby World Cup!

The words of the All Blacks’ haka:
Kapa O Pango kia whakawhenua au i ahau! All Blacks, let me become one with the land!
Hi aue ii!
Ko Aotearoa e ngunguru nei! This is our land that rumbles!
Au, au, aue ha! It’s my time! It’s my moment!
Ko Kapa O Pango e ngunguru nei! This defines us as the All Blacks!
Au, au, aue ha! It’s my time! It’s my moment!
I ahaha!
Ka tu te ihiihi Our dominance
Ka tu te wanawana Our supremacy will triumph
Ki runga ki te rangi e tu iho nei, tu iho nei ihi! And will be properly revered, placed on high!
Ponga ra! Silver fern!
Kapa O Pango, aue hi! All Blacks!

  1. Ho yes, but as a long time French rugby fan we gave you a run for the money… :o)

Congratulations from Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada! We were rooting for them too.

  3. Fantastic post and what a great game. Well deserved title.

LOL, nice bit of ‘photoshopping’ . Good result for the AB’s too, but boy was it close!

Brilliant work , Roly! Reading you translation of the new haka, I now see why the ABs prefer to perform it more than the traditional ‘Ka mati.’ The game was a true rugby ‘test’, very close and not determined until the final whistle. It was appropriate that the Frogs left their best game until the final.
