Watching the spectacular Winter Olympics opening ceremony today, it struck me how well they used projected lighting effects to convey very different terrains. I wonder if there is any scope for inventing something like that for a wargames table?!
Imagine moving your troops across a projected field of waving wheat. Or through a forest projected onto ribbons. Or even a sea battle in which a pod of whales break the water and spout?
