I agree with you, Scott. But it is moulded on, and removing it would be a 'major', as it would mean redoing from scratch the weatherboarding behind it.

Actually I'm a bit mystified by the overhanging front of the tower, too. It seems an oddly complex structural element on such a simple building. I don't know if Renedra based this on a real prototype or not, though.

Great model & what a great way to use it. That Pukekohe East battle was curious in many ways, not least because of the way it tested both sides. Would be interesting to see how it re-fought via miniatures rules.

Amazing! It's a weird but true story - I was working on the very final publisher proofs for my book on New Zealand's military heroism, when up came the news that Apiata had won the VC. Of course it had to be included. I rang the publishers - Reed NZ - and persuaded them to amend one page in the book, typed out a couple of paragraphs based on what I knew at that stage - and got it through in time for them to meet their printer timing. One day earlier and I'd have missed it...

It looks great Roly. I presume 1/56 works well with our 28mm figs?
The only minor thing I am not sure about is the cross, it just looks kind of 'stuck on', maybe its too bold?
